Lawrence is a facilitator on the ITS TYME Programme since May 2014. Lawrence has extensive experience in training and development which is evident in the classroom where he engages the out of school learners using his own business experiences as a live case study in teaching the dynamic business principles of the programme. He started his facilitation expertise while still at university where he served as the AIESEC South Africa Vice President – Finance. This role saw him lead the organisation’s entrepreneurship workshops and leadership seminars offerings.
Following his success in this role, he was invited by the then-Director of the Gordon Institute of Business Science, Nick Binedell to join the GIBS Forums team with the mandate to providing topical business forums and conferences where top business leaders used the platform to share their business experiences and future endeavours.
He then joined South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as Seminars and Events Manager.
Lawrence’s introduction to entrepreneurship came when he started Unsua Business Consulting which services black SMEs in the townships by training them on various business management skills, and offering them financial management support and advice. He also runs Electronic Kids Educational Program cc (EKEP) which provides curriculum based learning via the computer such as maths, language skills, life orientation, arts and culture, natural and social sciences, and technology from Grade R to Grade 12 and essential ICT skills to adults.
